ISPCAN COVID-19 WEBINAR SERIES

Nowhere in the world has been more impacted by COVID-19 than Italy. CISMAI, our Country Partner and 2021 Congress partner based in northern Italy, has been on the front lines of the child protection response and will share what they’re learned and are continuing to learn about the effects of the pandemic on Italy’s child welfare system, and what has been done to mitigate those effects.

This webinar will feature four presentations:

  • Donata Bianchi will give an overview of the pandemic in Italy, including impact on populations at risk; emerging data on the impact of COVID-19; and measures adopted at the national and regional levels.
  • Gloria Soavi and Monica Micheli will discuss the proposals and actions promoted by associations and organizations at the national level.
  • Rocco Briganti will share experiences from the most affected region of Italy, with a focus on respecting children’s rights during a pandemic.
  • Teresa Bertotti will describe the cooperation and integration of policies and interventions across the country.

She has been working since the early 2000s as a consultant for the activities of the National Centre of Documentation and Analysis for Childhood and Adolescence.
